Cheating case filed against TN godman swami Vithyananda

Police filed two cases of cheating and outraging religious sentiments against godman Nithyananda Swami on Thursday, even as his ashram said that the person shown with a woman in videos telecast by a Tamil TV channel was not their spiritual head.

Meanwhile, police picked up scores of protesters in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, who had destroyed properties of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam.

Meanwhile, public relations officer of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam Nithya Athmaprabhananda termed the videos a product of a conspiracy.
