Virender Sehwag is now in the list fastest bats men in the world.

Virender Sehwag became the sixth Indian batsman to score 7000 Test runs during his unbeaten knock of 97 on the second day of the third Test against Sri Lanka.He was playing in his 79th Test, became the 38th batsman overall to have scored 7000 runs in Test cricket.
Sunil Gavaskar was the first Indian to complete 7000 runs in Test cricket many years ago, while the other Indians in the list include Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Sourav Ganguly.

Sehwag, during this knock, also became the 2nd fastest in the world in terms of innings, to have reached the 7000-run mark. Wally Hammond tops the chart, having got to the mark in just 131 innings. The list also features Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar and Rahul Dravid in the top ten.
